Eowyn has been having a fantastic time with all the new toys that she has been sent to review, at the age of 8, she has the best of both, she is still classed in the younger age range for dolls and prams, but just squeezes in to the older category for Arts & Crafts. She has four different toys to showcase for you this month.

Eowyn is a HUGE Project Mc2 Fan and she is always making up little secret clubs with her friends so this journal was perfect, she even got her two brothers involved, playing spy games! Her brothers were facinated that she could open the journal with her bracelet, but no matter how hard they tried, they couldn’t just open it!
Priced at £19.99 it is perfect for girls who like all things spy and secret clubs, you can purchase the journal at Smyths
Baby Annabell Brother (RRP £54.99)
Just like his sister, Baby Annabell Brother has lots of realistic functions – and now he wets his nappy too! Love and care for him just like a real baby.
Most of the time the Interactive Baby Annabell Brother Doll is happy and babbles in his baby language, but when he falls asleep any noise could wake him and cause him to cry real tears! Soothe him with his bottle and watch as his eyes open and close. The Baby Annabell Brother Doll has realistic babbling, giggling, sucking and burping sounds!
- Makes baby movements, babbling and noises
- Comes with bottle, dummy and comforter
For ages 3 years and over
Eowyn still loves dolls, especially now that Viggo is nearly 4, and is over half her size, she can no longer cart him around like a little baby! I think it is lovely to still see her playing with dolls, being my youngest daughter, I don’t want her to grow up too quickly, Eowyn had a sleepover for her 8th birthday and it was so lovely to see all of her seven friends still enjoying playing with the dolls and taking them for a walk in the prams and pushchairs.
Eowyn named him Alfie, and he was very lifelike, as a few occasions I heard her sigh deeply when he woke up! Maybe these would be good for older teens who think being a mum is all lovely cuddles and pushing large prams!

Eowyn enjoys making lots of different creations, and her two younger brothers love squishing them and sniffing them! Currently available from Amazon priced at £18.50 this is slightly more than I would spend on one of Eowyns friends for their birthday, but definitely for my nieces birthday, and there are smaller sets that would be great for friends birthday gifts.
Gel – A -Peel
The perfect intersection of fashion + design. Design. Peel. Wear. Share. Gel-A-Peel allows you to express yourself through your own designer creations! your friends will be dying to know where you got them and join in the fun of making more together! Eowyn tried out the pastel set, and then used the decorations she had made to decorate her jewellery box.
The recommended age for doing Gel-A-Peel alone is 8, and I agree with this, I let Eowyn do the entire process by herself, I am not very artistic so I didn’t have any deep burning desires to change anything she did, yes it’s pretty messy, but its hers!
You can purchase the pastel set from Amazon it comes with
- 3 Gel-a-Peel tubes
- 16 design templates
- Gel tray with squeegee tool to make gel shapes and gems!
- 5 designer tips: 3 round, 1 rake, 1 star
- Clear drawing sheet, Cleaning tool. Accessory hardware
So, that’s what Eowyn has been playing with and testing out this summer, do you have any of these, is there a particular favourite in your house ?
Ohh the secret agent journal sounds like just my kind of thing, I’d have definitely had something like that when I was a kid x
