As you all know in July I made the decision it was time to move on from my job as a breastfeeding practitioner, to concentrate on PR and Social Media work, as well as supporting Asa with the new Great Yarmouth Airshow.
Although I have been writing blogs and working on websites for the past six years, I have no specific qualifications within that topic, so when NCC Home Learning got in contact and asked if I would like to review one of their courses I was very keen to see what they had available.
The website is easy to navigate and there are different drop down menus for industry, career related and general interest courses. I immediately clicked on Marketing and found lots of courses that would be relevant for my current career progression, after reading about them all, I decided to study for a Level 3 Event Management Diploma as this will help me with aspects of my new position.
It was very easy to sign up and all of the materials can be accessed online, if you would prefer the course in paper format, this is also an option. You can pay for the course all in one go, or on a monthly payment plan, there is also a tutor available to help with anything you struggle with.
This particular course is made up of 11 modules, and your tutor will verify each part of the workbook and activities as you go through.
I have just started the first module and already I am hooked, it also has some of the information my daughter is currently studying for a Travel and Tourism GCSE, so its a win, win!
Check back in a few months when I have completed the course and I will proudly show you my certificate.
Have you done any online courses, did you find them easy or struggle with being disciplined enough to do them, without the classroom environment ?
