Interplay Fairy Garden Review

Eowyn LOVES all things pretty and fairy related, so when we were asked if she would like to review an Interplay fairy garden, I thought it sounded perfect for her, although I didn’t have a clue what it was!!

So I was just as curious as Eowyn when the box arrived, although I did have a sneaky peak on the website to find out what it says about it

This kit contains everything you need to make your fairy feel at home, just add imagination and a little sprinkling of the fairy dust included!”

 

As you can see Eowyn was very pleased with the contents, especially the little Fairy who she has named Ella (also the name of her best friend at school!)

The Fairy Garden comes with everything you need, except the soil, so a little trip into the garden, (well my vegetable patch to be precise), where we filled up the large orange tub that was supplied, then we were ready to build a Fairy garden!

 

After we had filled it with soil, we added the large shell, or Fairy Swimming pool as Eowyn called it, then I built the Fairy House, warning, this house comes with a large amount of Glitter, so expect to sparkle for days! It was very easy to slot together, for me, but a little tricky for Eowyn to do by herself, so an adult or older child may need to assist with this part.

Next we added the washing line and the pegs, followed by the brightly coloured stones to make a Fairy path, no fairy garden would be complete without flowers, toadstools and glitter, and no garden would be complete without grass, so we sprinkled the grass seeds over the remaining soil, watered it and then waited…..

 

Within three days the grass began to grow, and went a bit crazy by day seven!

 

Next job, time to cut the grass, this did take a little less time than daddy mowing our lawn, thank goodness, it was great for Eowyns fine motor skills, she only managed to cut the washing line once!

Priced at £14.99 represents good value for money, there is scope for Eowyn to add things to the garden and increase the play value, already she has been searching through her sister’s ornaments to find play mates for Fairy Ella, she loves to cut the grass and I am sure it won’t be long until the siblings begin to find Ella in strange places or things go walkabouts and Eowyn will tell them to ask Ella where they are!!
