All of our children adore books, and right from any early age they have shown a keen interest in the world around them, they read anything and everything from Fairy Stories to books about the human body.
This week we have been looking at a new book by Tracey Turner, called Facts! One for every day of the year, and it does exactly that!
The book is aimed at ages 4- 8 and it would make a great Christmas (am I allowed to say that word yet!) or birthday present. The children love to check out memorable days like their own birthdays, but also enjoy finding out the fact of the day, then telling anyone who will listen what it is!
Today’s fact – The world’s fastest rollercoaster is called Formula Rossa, there are other facts about the roller coaster, but I don’t want to spoil it for you, so if you want to know more then go grab the book from Amazon.
Priced at £12.99 for a hardcover, this is a book that will improve children’s knowledge about the world in which they live, without them even realising they are learning.
This book is perfect for Tyrus aged 6 as he doesn’t have a particularly long attention span, but does like to join in with ‘reading’ so he enjoys finding the date and then I read him out the fact of the day. Eowyn is extremely interested too, at the age of 8, she is able to find the dates she wants and read out the fact.
