You may have noticed one of my lovely new badges in my sidebar, I am a member of the Board Game Bloggers Club, which means they send us a new board game to try out each month, and depending on what we think of it, will determine what kind if game is sent out next month, so introducing Dobble
Dobble consists of 55 cards with 8 symbols per card, from the 50 available. There is only one identical symbol in common between each card, it is up to you to find out which one! There are several different games that you can play and the recommended age is 6+ and is ideal between 2 and 8 players. Each game can last up to 15 minutes, which is perfect for the slightly younger members of the family, as it holds their attention without them getting bored.
The whole game comes in a funky little tin, so is perfect for taking out and about or on holiday.
We are HUGE fans of Pictureka in our household, the children love finding the symbols, so I knew, even before we got Dobble out of the tin they were going to love it, and I was right!
Sounds easy ? How quickly can you spot the matching symbols ?
We played ‘The Towering Inferno’ first, the aim of the game is to have one card each and you have to match it to the one on the top of the pile, you then ‘win’ that card, which means all of the symbols have changed and you have to match something else (unless you are lucky and there is the same symbol on the card!).
Next we played ‘The Well’ and then ‘The Hot Potato’ which, both Eowyn and Kaide declared was their favourite.
This is definitely a winner in The Morrison Household.
It costs just £9, you can purchase from Amazon, it is certainly worth the money.
We were sent the game as part of the Blogger Board Game Club, all thoughts and opinions are our own.
