You’re going to be at home more.
As mentioned, this year you’re going to be spending more time at home than ever before, so it’s better to be somewhere that you’re happy in. Get the jobs done that you need to now and before the colder weather really sets in. If you have any work to do outside your homes such as repairs or roof insulation, then get it done now so that you can just enjoy being inside and cosy and warm. It’s not only important to be warm and safe, but you also need to be happy in your home, so don’t have anything niggling you. Put away what needs to be put away, paint that wall if you’ve been meaning to do it for ages and treat yourself to home comforts such as throws and pillows so that you’ll get excited for cosy nights in.
You Don’t Need Your Summer Stuff Hanging Around.
Don’t make yourself miserable by looking at your summer clothes and shoes and equipment. Put it away and embrace the winter months. You can easily find affordable storage units to rent if you don’t have the room in your home and this will keep your summer things safe and secure until you need them again. Alternatively, you could use vacuum bags to put your clothes in and put them on top of the wardrobe or under the bed.

It’s not just the risk of you catching Coronavirus, but it’s also important to eliminate the spread. Just think how one small thing could have a significant impact on lots of people. For example, if you don’t check your boiler now and it breaks down on a very cold day, you and your family will have to wait for someone to come and fix it in the freezing cold. You’ll probably have to wait a while as it will be a busy time and there will be less staff working due to COVID. Then by calling someone out to fix your boiler, you’re increasing the risk of them having a car accident while they travel to you, which will then put more pressure on the medical services. It’s important to try and catch these things before they become real issues, so get organised now to keep yourself and those around you safe.
