I live in sunny Spain and have been writing for about six years now. I started with a collection of cat stories to raise funds for a shelter and then moved on to my first suspense novel. I write both in Spanish and English and have series in both languages. Though I am a biologist, writing is my true passion. I feel incredibly lucky to be able to do what I love.
My thoughts
It was a very different book to the ones I have been reading lately and it certainly makes you feel grateful for the ‘calm’ life that I have, I love to really get into a book and empathise with the characters, and this book certainly does that, although at times it was quite difficult to continue reading as I am quite an emotional person and get fully involved in the story, I guess when you are reading about losing loved ones and finding out you have something wrong too, the readers start to look closer at their own lives and imagine such tragedy themselves, which nobody wants to do, but somehow it had me gripped and wanting to find out more.
I couldn’t imagine making a decision to split up with the love of my life, but I guess if it means the difference between life and death, who knows!
