Combining that pumpkin taste with the bits of chocolate chip take me to taste bud heaven, time and time again. I always make up a double batch of these delicious homemade cookies because my kids literally race to the kitchen and gobble them up as fast as they can.
My mom tip from me to you? You can easily make these up in secrecy and save a few behind just for you. I have a “mom container” that I keep hidden where I always have a little stash of sweets that are just for me!

What happens if you don’t have pumpkin pie spice in your cabinet?
Don’t fret. You’ll be fine. If you’re lacking pumpkin pie spice, you just need to use cinnamon and a tad bit of sugar instead. As long as you have the pumpkin puree in the recipe, you’ll still get that strong pumpkin flavor.
Ingredients needed for Pumpkin Spice Chocolate Chip Cookies

- 1/2 C unsalted sweet cream butter, melted
- 1/2 C pumpkin puree
- 1/2 C sugar
- 1/4 C brown sugar, packed
- 1 tbsp Molasses
- 1 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 2 C flour
- 2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp kosher salt
- 1 C semi sweet chocolate chips
How to make pumpkin spice cookies with chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line two cookie sheets with parchment paper.
Using a medium microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter.
Mix in the pumpkin puree, both sugars, molasses, and vanilla extract into the melted butter until combined.
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, pumpkin pie spice, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually mix in your dry ingredients into the wet until combined.
Mix in the chocolate chips.
Using a medium cookie scoop, scoop some dough onto your hands and roll into a ball.
Place onto the cookie sheet and lightly press down with your fingers until a thick disk forms.
Repeat steps with remaining dough until all is gone.
Place into the oven and bake for 13-15 minutes or until center doesn’t look gooey.
Allow cookies to cool completely before enjoying it!

If you’re wanting to keep these cookies as fresh as possible for as long as possible, keep them in a container with a lid and minimize the outside air from touching them.
