This week saw Xene go back ‘Up North’ to Uni, which involved an entire day of travelling, but it was a really good run and we made excellent time, so much, that I was able to take her food shopping before Neva and I left, just to make sure there was some food in her cupboards!
Day 7 – Obviously my photo today was of Xene safely delivered back to Uni, although she has a study week in 2 weeks time, so it won’t be too long until she’s home again, but she’s coming by train then.
Day 8 – Not even a week back at school and today I had Neva, Kaide, Tyrus and Viggo off school ill, the trouble with having so many children is that they just keep sharing the bugs they bring home! Tyrus received a fluffy monkey pillow for Christmas and every time he is feeling sleepy he asks for his Monkey Pillow and Tree Blanket.
Day 9 – Everyone was back in school today. When Viggo got home he was full of beans, he went very quiet and I found him up at the table on my laptop dressed in Kaide’s school blazer and tie, he told me he was working like I do!
Day 10 Then house always seemed so empty once they were all at school, that was obviously before we had Merrie! Now my day is taken up with chasing after her to retrieve the children’s socks or putting heavy objects on top of the bin as she has worked out how to open it, she has certainly made my life more interesting! And she loves boxes almost as much as the children do!
Day 11 – Today we trialled a new school run, usually I leave at 8am and take Neva and Kaide to high school then go straight on to drop off Eowyn and Tyrus, back home and collect Lochlan and Viggo for College and Preschool, but the roadworks on three different roads during our journey is making it very difficult to get everyone there on time, so today I took all six children, plus Merrie on the trip, Lochlan was last to be dropped at college at 9.25am which meant Merrie and I were walking along Gorleston promenade by 9.30am. I’m not sure if it will work all the time, but we shall see.
Day 12 Tyrus was off school again today, he has been very unsettled at school for the last few days and he really didn’t look too great this morning, so we had a lovely snuggly day. On the school run Neva made a comment that there are very few photos of her as she loves taking the actual pictures, so as soon as I stopped the car I snapped this one on my phone!
Day 13 And so we are at today, I was just taking the photos from my phone that I had taken this week and thought that I didn’t have one yet for today, but never fear, my selfie queen had taken about 10 of herself this morning, so i’m guessing she is hinting at having one of them used!!
I love how much your kids love having their photos taken but look so natural and not staged. I have no idea how you do that school run though!! #365
Ahh! My girls went back to school on Tuesday and my teen was off sick on Friday. Ugh. She’s over it now, thankfully. hehehe. The photo of Viggo did make me chuckle. He looks like quite the worker.
It sounds like you are being kept busy with Merrie.
Love the photos of the kids, especially Viggo ‘working like mummy’ Merrie sounds like a bundle of fun, I certainly find my dog and cat have filled the gap since the kids left home
The school run sounds like a logistical nightmare. The house must be unbelievably quiet without all the kids at home. Hope the bugs are now at bay. Love Merrie #365
CRikey that is an insane school run. Good job you haven’t got to get elsewhere again for work. Merrie is so cute – our pup has just broken her leg. Poor thing
That’s a crazy school run. Hope you’re all on the mend x #project365
Oh no! I’m pleased they weren’t all off for too long. Merrie looks so adorable in that box, I’m sure she adds so much fun to your busy lives 🙂 My mum used to stock my uni cupboards too when she dropped me off after holidays!
Sorry to hear the kids have been poorly this week. Hope they are all feeling better now. Lots of lovely photos of your girls this week! I am in awe at your school run! I only have to drive one of mine now and it’s a round trip of not much more than three miles. The other two get the bus!
3 separate runs in a morning for school…..good grief, you deserve 2 medals……
Oh no a them being sick but yes they do tend to share it round and round a few times, our lot do the same. DD1 usually quarantines the house to make sure it does not go any further.
Great pic of the selfie queen.
Wow that is one crazy school run!! I do hope this new route works out for you all.
I love that all your children enjoy having their photo taken. Wish mine would enjoy it as much, my son prefers to take the photos tho.
Your dog is soooo cute! Looks like he’s loving life with all the school runs and having so many people to fuss over her! #365
My kids don’t like having their pics taken…even the youngest is getting funny about it so can be a mission to get good photos of them!
Sorry to hear they weren’t well. Hope they are all better now!
The dog is sooo cute!
Hope everyone is better now. Some lovely pictures of your girls.
Ahh your pup is so cute! Lovely photos #365
And here I am, complaining about hectic mornings with my two. I don’t know how you manage with six. Lovely photo of Viggo working. The monkey cushion looks very cosy.
My kids were ill the first week in September with a tummy bug and I couldn’t believe their attendance would be affected so early on in the school year! ##project365
Your dog is so cute. Animals have always been the best companions of children.
