January it just flying by, we have had quite a full on week, with lots of things happening, Asa has been so busy working we have hardly seen each other, even though we both work from home!
Day 15 – The effects of a Sleepover!
Saturday night Kaide had a sleepover at one of his friends to celebrate his birthday, on Sunday evening after dinner he went up in the boys bedroom to watch a TV series he and Neva are working their way through, within 10 mins of the programme starting he was fast asleep at the opposite end of his bed!
Day 16 – The Walk To Preschool
On Mondays and Tuesdays, Viggo attends preschool 9-3, it moved premises in September, which means that I can now park the car at the Primary school and walk over the fields to collect Viggo and be guaranteed a car parking space near enough for when Tyrus comes out of school, Neva finishes school at 2.35, so she does the walk with me each week, Lochlan accompanies us depending on his college timetable!
Day 17 – A Night At the Theatre
Xene and I attended the opening night of La Cage aux Folles at Norwich Theatre Royal, it was the first time the show has been on a UK tour and if it comes to a theatre near you I would definitely recommend it, you can read more about it on Big Family Little Adventures. Xene has had two uni interviews come through so she is getting as much theatre experience as she can before she attends, and this one was certainly a perfect show to have seen.
Day 18 – Another After school Club!
Kaide loves Maths and numbers, but he is also a keen sportsman, so any after school clubs that are available, he attends, today was Computer Club (yesterday basketball) there is just enough time for me to take everyone home before he finishes, today the big car was in for its MOT work so I had to drop everyone home, sometimes we go super quick food shopping for the bits I always run out of, the church looked very pretty whilst I was waiting I took a quick snap.
Day 19 – Graduation Day
Tonight Asa and I went along to Lochlan’s graduation from high school, it was a lovely ceremony celebrating all of their achievements and it was a good excuse for them all to get together and catch up now that they are all at different colleges. They did all look very smart in their cap and gowns!
Day 20 – Second Theatre Trip!
Tonight, Xene Neva and I went along to our local theatre Gorleston Pavillion, Xene is a member of the theatre company and some of her friends were appearing in Noel Cowards Waiting in the Wings about a retirement home for actresses, I love the theatre as it is quite small and all the seats are set out cabaret style meaning we had an entire table to ourselves, they did an amazing job and we had a wonderful evening.
Day 21 – Lay A Little Egg For Me!
The weather this week has been freezing, however that hasn’t deterred Fluffles! We had one chicken who has problems with one of her eyes and was getting picked on my the others (not helped by the fact that she is EXTREMELY grumpy) so we moved her to a separate coop, she is obviously living the life of luxury as she is laying daily, whereas the others haven’t even laid one egg! She is a bantam so they don’t look very big, but in fact they are not much smaller than normal size, so perfectly good enough for dippy eggs!
How has your week been ?
It looks like you have had a busy week….
Ahh! My girls are like that after sleepovers too…hehehe
Hooray for fresh eggs…It sounds like you have plenty 😀 x
i’m assuming with all the kids and various activities that this busy week isn’t a one off?
The theatre visits sounds great, glad the graduation went well #365
The eggs look great, whatever their size I bet they’re three times tastier than shop bought ones 🙂 And you got to go to the theatre not once,, but twice. I call that a winning week 🙂
I never understand why they call them sleep overs, awake over is more like it.
Much prefer eggs from my own chickens I have to say.
I always loved Maths and numbers as well, would happily have sat in a math class all day
So much theatre I am very envious! And your school run? I am in awe that you don’t forget a kid somewhere! #project365
Sleepovers do seem to the most tiring things don’t they? Can’t imagine why.
Sounds like a busy week for you all! The graduation sounds fab as does the theatre show. Sleepovers are evil, aren’t they?! My younger son has that duvet set!
what a busy week. The graduation sounds lovely – a proud parent moment indeed and as you say, lovely for him and his friends to meet up again. My two have not had a sleepover at a friends house yet, only at their grandparents so I have yet to face this!! No sleep til morning! Lovely to have your own freshly laid eggs x
Ah, the joy of sleepovers! My girl was always very grumpy after them as well as tired. Love the sound of the theatre trips – I haven’t been to a theatre for a very long time, apart from a panto!
