So far 2019 has been a rollercoaster of emotions in the gaming world, we’ve seen some huge launchings such as RE 2 starting the year with horror, Devil May Cry 5 bringing the Devil May Cry saga back to its old glory and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice getting everyone frustrated and angry but overall, making sure everyone got good.
Now that we’re at mid-april we can start to look at what the future holds for us in May. Lets see what amazing games will get us on the edge of our seats this month. Here we will be looking at the most relevant games May will have for us
Yakuza Kiwami 2 (PC) – May 9
Yakuza is a legendary game saga about the japanese mafia. With amazing stories and excellent visuals they have been thrilling the audiences for years now. Even though they are usually released only in Sony consoles, they have been getting PC adaptations lately. More people can finally enjoy these excellent games.
Saints Row: The Third – The Full Package (Switch) – May 10
Saints Row: The Third is like Grand Theft Auto only that it’s flashier and crazier, much, much crazier. Mayhem and madness gets all out in this game. Even though it has been years since this game came out on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. It will finally be landing on a Nintendo console in May for the Switch with all DLC’s included, so get ready to get crazy
Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered (includes Liberation Remastered) (Switch) – May 21
Reading the title of the game. You might be thinking “didn’t an Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered edition already come out last year?”. You’d be right. A remastered edition of the game was already available last year, however this is the first time this game is coming to Nintendo Switch.
Resident Evil Zero, Resident Evil HD Remaster and Resident Evil 4 (Switch) – May 21
Nintendo went dead serious about getting all the Resident Evil games they could. They are going all out on May 21, when they are releasing three full and separated titles the same day. While we’ve seen them all in the past, some more than other having them on a portable version is always a great thing. This is the third time Resident Evil 4 gets released on a Nintendo console, and it is the first time on a portable console.
Team Sonic Racing (PC, PS4, Xbox One, Switch) – May 21
Sonic is back with another racing game! The Sonic the Hedgehog series has been popular for almost 30 years now, and while they have had some big mess-ups, they do have some stars in their lists. Team Sonic Racing is a spin-off of the series, controlling one of the 15 characters available from all over the series. This is no ordinary car-racing game though, the “team” part of the title is very important. Unlike most kart racers, the game is not a all vs all race game, but it will focus on cooperative gameplay such as the teamwork required in games like Splatoon.
While none of the games we mentioned in the introduction was released for the Nintendo Switch, there have been some highlight for the console his year, and it’s kinda clear that May will be a Switch month, so it is indeed a great time to be a Switch owner, even though they didn’t get Sekiro or RE 2.
