With the summer sun finally starting to warm us up, and the recent heatwave finally allowing us to show some skin (although VERY short lived!) the kids starting to pester you about every theme park throughout the country, it’s believe it or not, finally that time of the year where we start to look outdoors and plan a summer of budget friendly adventures.
If, like me, the idea of spending £££ on even the most amazing of theme parks is enough to give you a cold sweat, check out this handy ebook created by over 101 of the Best British Bloggers. With hundreds of activities, destinations, and just general FUN, each of the ideas has been tested by a blogger just like myself and is crammed full of budget friendly family days out, that won’t cost you a pretty penny, well maybe an ice cream or two…
My suggestion for the book was EXPLORE THOSE ROCKPOOLS. I wrote…
“Our favourite activity to do with children is head to our local beach with a towel, bucket, spade and a picnic. The kids love spending an entire day exploring the rockpools, digging holes and splashing in the sea. Its a lovely time for the family to be together and enjoy each others company .”
No doubt we will be exploring those rockpools at some point this summer. The drive is only a short distance, the rockpools and sea will keep the kids entertained and the price allows us to all get an ice cream (maybe even two!). i’m beginning to sense a pattern, as I have mentioned ice cream twice already!
Let me know if you have a destination favourite from the ebook!
